Many of you have inquired about my session fees and prices. I'll post the basic information below and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to email me at summerwilliamsphotography@gmail.com . Just emailing with questions doesn't mean you have to book a session, but it does help you know what to expect with your session!

Basic Fees:
Birthday party coverage: $50 (for up to 2 hours).
Maternity, engagement, family, newborn, & children sessions: $75 (for up to 2 hours).
Senior & bridal sessions: $125 (for up to 4 hours).

Please email me for wedding prices.

(Travel fees may apply if outside of Central Arkansas).

What you get: All clients receive their fully-edited portraits in digital format (on a c.d. or d.v.d.). This allows clients to print their portraits on their own, upload them to Facebook, email them to family members, use them for digital scrapbooking, etc. Clients typically receive around 100 final portraits on their disk (this may vary depending on the length of the session).
Also, clients may order professional prints through Summer Williams Photography at very reasonable rates. I strongly encourage you to order professional prints because of the huge difference in quality between a professional lab and labs open to the public. Plus, prints ordered professionally will come with a protective coating (so they will not fade throughout the years) and can be mounted on various backings to avoid crinkles and folds. Also, keep in mind that local labs auto color correct in their prints and can give you incorrect color tones. You don't want a green baby in your pictures!

The O Family

We've known this family for a few years and my husband has known this husband for even longer. (The hubbies have dabbled in a few music projects together and hang out occasionally.) So, as you can imagine, I was very excited when I finally got the chance to take some pictures for the O family - especially since we've been throwing the idea around for quite a while. Their little guy is about the same age as my Jonah, and they act so much alike. You'll notice in a few of the pics below that this kiddo is quite the poser. He had all of us laughing and coming up with goofy ideas for him to try out. He did a few dance moves, struck a few muscle poses, and just had fun in front of the camera. Since I've been off for the summer, I've had lots of time to hang out with my boys. We've discovered Peabody Park in downtown Little Rock and we've been spending lots of time there. Avery loves the fountains and Jonah likes the park next to it. Most of these shots are of Avery because Jonah was hidden away in the tunnels trying his best to avoid my camera. I managed to snap a few of him, though.
I have a ton of sessions in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned for those posts. Just this weekend alone I have a wedding, birthday party, and maternity shoot. Very exciting!

Tee'ing off with my boys!

Here are a few shots from our recent golfing trip. Nick has taken up the sport and my typical competitive nature has driven me to take it up as well. Jonah has a cute little golf set from a couple years ago and this adventure allowed him to put that set to good use. Needless to say, Jonah was a pro! He was a natural little golfer. Avery was just out there to have fun and he had more of a 'putt-putt style'. I think he just liked riding in the golf cart and drinking his Capri Suns more than actually getting out on the green. Overall, this trip was a hit (pun intended). Enjoy the snapshots of our fun day:

Cute little guys. They were pretty sweaty by the end of the day. Fortunately, a storm rolled in at about the 8th hole (we only played 9) and the cloud cover cooled things off a bit. Big Bertha!
You can't tell in this picture, but that was a very special Spongebob ball. Jonah didn't even play with it for fear of losing it. :)

Most of you already know that I don't just do photography: I teach high school English as well. When I started teaching this past year, I vowed to keep doing photography because I love it so much and feel out of sorts whenever I haven't done a session in a while. During this past year, a couple of my students approached me about doing some senior portraits for them, so we made a day of it and ventured all over Little Rock to get some fun shots. Here is just one of those sweet girls. Isn't she so so so pretty?!

I have had the pleasure of working with this family many times and I feel like they have become friends rather than just clients. The odds were against us when we tried to schedule this shoot. Between conflicting schedules, a sick little boy, and bad weather, it seemed like we would never get to meet up. Fortunately we finally did - and as soon as we did, it began pouring. They were great sports about it, though, and we made it work under the covered bridge nearby (thank goodness that was close at hand). Here are just a few shots from our fun session! My Sweet Boys

I just had to share this sweet picture of my boys playing out in the yard today. I love how Avery is hugging Jonah and how Jonah is showing his toothless grin in all its glory. All of my favorite pictures of my boys (and usually of my clients as well) are the candid ones - the ones that capture what life at that time was really like. I will be posting many pics this summer while I am out of school and I am setting a goal of shooting a session a week of my own boys. I have often neglected taking pics of them in order to work on clients' pictures and I want to fix that soon! Enjoy this glimpse into our summer day!

Yesterday we hosted Avery's 4th birthday party at our house. He had decided on a Pirate theme a few months ago and fortunately never changed his mind like he usually does. We had a ton of fun and Avery made out like a bandit, er um, pirate. He even got the sweet little costume with all the props that you see above. He's grown up so fast and I can't believe how tall he's gotten! Happy Birthday, little Ave!

This family was too sweet - I had so much fun working with them. I especially loved that they wanted me to photograph one of their routines with the little guy - giving him a bath. The bath pics were some of my favorites - it was a very sweet moment between the 3 of them. Thanks so much to this family for inviting me into their home and for letting me go crazy with their cutie. I had so much fun with this little cutie. Mom, Dad, and I pulled out all the stops for this session - I danced around with Elmo hands, broke out the kiddo favorite: bubbles, and let him play in my vintage suitcase. Mom and Dad even let us end the session with a fun treat - a Jolly Rancher popsicle! I love the popsicle shots - they let this little guy have fun and just be a toddler - and that always makes for the best shots.

Jonah's 5th Birthday Party

My big man turned 5 back in April (and already acts like he's 15). I've been looking through old pictures lately and am reminded of how much he's changed from that chunky little baby with soft, blonde curls... He starts kindergarten this year and it's going to be quite an experience for me him. Here are a few shots from his 5th bday party. He is really into monster trucks lately, so we had a monster truck party complete with a Grave Digger pinata and El Toro Loco napkins. This fun session was a 3-in-1 session. The oldest sister needed Senior pics, the middle sister needed head-shots, and the youngest sister wanted a few group shots. Even though Abbi and Robert live in New York, they chose to come back to Arkansas (where Abbi grew up) for their wedding. I was so honored to be asked to document their day - and so glad to finally meet Robert, Abbi, and her mom after months of corresponding via emails. I could tell Abbi was my kind of girl from the get-go, but she won me over when she played one of my fave Jennifer Knapp songs during her slideshow at the reception :) ! Seriously, that made my day...

This sweet little boy was 2 weeks old when I did his newborn session. He was so cooperative for me and his parents were super laid-back and willing to do whatever to make my job easier. I had so much fun with this session and hope they invite me back when this little guy gets a bit older!

The boys and I went exploring at the park yesterday and they let me take a few quick shots of them. I've been trying to take lots of pics of them lately since it suddenly seems like they are growing into big boys right before my eyes. The greatest compliment for any photographer is when clients return for a second session. This family falls into that category - and I couldn't be more flattered and honored that I keep getting invited back. You've seen them on my blog quite a few times - I always get compliments about their pics - I think it's mostly because they are just so photogenic! I recently met up with them at Sacred Heart in Morrilton for sweet baby Noelle's christening. This was my first christening to shoot (or to ever attend) and it was such a neat ceremony. Even though Noelle was a little under the weather, she did GREAT for pictures and the ceremony - I was in awe at how well she cooperated!

A few weeks before Christmas, my long-time friend, Brandy, contacted me about doing a mini-session with her, her fiance, and her soon to be brother/sister-in-law. We managed to squeeze a quick session in before everyone had to head back to work. In that short time, we got a few fun shots and quite a bit of exercise (I made them all follow me around as I sought out the perfect spots).
